South Humber Power Station

Weststone Construction successfully delivered a comprehensive groundworks and piling package at the South Humber Power Station site, supporting the development of a key energy infrastructure project. Our works began with full site clearance and enabling activities, including vegetation removal, breaking out of existing structures, reduced level digs, and formation of piling mats to provide a stable working platform for major structural operations.

A core element of the project was the installation of reinforced concrete slabs, constructed to exacting tolerances to support critical plant and structural loads. This involved precision placement of formwork, extensive rebar installation to engineered specifications, and the controlled pour and finishing of high-quality concrete slabs, ensuring long-term durability and performance.

Weststone also completed the piling package, coordinating ground preparation and piling operations to ensure a seamless interface with the wider construction program. In parallel, we installed a robust drainage system, including deep trench excavation, pipework installation, backfilling, and final testing to ensure compliance and resilience.

Throughout the works, Weststone’s team provided full site management, health & safety leadership, and specialist plant and logistics to deliver the project on time, on budget, and to the highest industry standards.
